Penedo Gordo Grande Reserva Red

25 years of history. An original vineyard. A unique harvest. Twenty-five years ago, the first vineyard at Herdade Penedo Gordo was planted—a vineyard of Alicante Bouschet, a grape variety that found the ideal conditions in this *terroir* to express its full potential. In 2020, as the world slowed down, nature continued to follow its own rhythm. Time brought us closer to the vines, and exceptional weather conditions yielded a harvest of extraordinary quality, characterized by a unique phenolic maturation. From pruning to the careful selection of the grape clusters, every detail was managed with rigor and dedication, ensuring the very best of that harvest was preserved. From this blend of history, nature, and expertise, Penedo Gordo Grande Reserva 2020 was born—a special edition that celebrates 25 years of Herdade Penedo Gordo and pays tribute to the vineyard where it all began.
